It appears that the Red Ribbon Army boxed set contains 17 episodes and includes only the Red Ribbon Army saga (as you might expect). That leaves a bit of a question in the air when the four additional sagas between RR and Piccolo #1 will be released...
There is quite a gap between Piccolo #1 and Piccolo #2 being released (2.5 months), it is possible that the "General Blue" or "Commander Red" sagas could be squeezed in there.
Another interesting question is how they will handle those two sagas. The first boxed set was 14 episodes. The second is 17. But "Blue" and "Red" are each only 9 episodes... will they merge the two?
(For reference, "Baba" is 14 again and "Tien" is somewhere around 18... After that, there are 52 episodes remaining and it's not clear yet how funimation will choose to divide them up into sagas.)
